- claim your listing on Google, Bing and Yahoo
- ensure you have a local telephone number (800 numbers are okay as alternates but a local number suggests you have a local presence)
- ask for reviews and understand bad reviews are okay (they show you aren't falsifying reviews)
- think like potential customers (how would they search for your products and/or services online?)

If nothing else, remember that your website ranking and online brand are important. You may have the greatest and most beautiful website ever but if people can't find you it's a waste of money!
